Outside of friends and family, few people know my husband and I just welcomed our second -and last- baby in June.

When my first was growing up, I had that new mom awe in everything she did. My phone was always at the ready, poised perfectly near me, waiting to capture all her tiny little details and her next big milestone. Now that we've welcomed our second, I've found myself struggling to really soak in every moment between the school field trips, social events, and the daily dose of dress up.

Then one day I realized... There will never be more firsts. No more first smiles or laughs. No more first words or watching our children discover how to crawl.

So I vowed to myself that I would make the time to capture more of it - and in came this.

If you've been looking for an adorable six-month baby milestone session, consider a sink bath! Seriously, there's a reason so many of our moms and grandmothers have pictures in photo albums of their babies being bathed in the kitchen sink.

The scent of your favorite baby soap, soft music playing in the background, the sink perfectly cradling your soft little babe as they babble and splash excitedly. There's something so adorable and so timeless in that scene, making you want to capture it to remember for a lifetime!

These have easily become one of my favorite things for children 18 months and under, or those who can still fit comfortably in the sink. They make awesome sitter sessions and are lovely to finish out a cake smash. Not to mention, our littlest clients are almost always ready for a nice long nap when we’re finished!
